What to expect
Please phone reception on (03) 9336 2933 to make an appointment and advise that you require a travel health consultation
- You will generally be booked for an appointment with the Doctor for consultation followed by vaccination by one of the Registered Nurses
- You will be charged a consultation fee and the cost of the vaccines (if you have private health “extras” you may be able to claim some of the cost of the vaccines)
- We do ask that you remain in the clinic for 10-15 minutes after your vaccines to monitor for any adverse reactions
- Your vaccination history can be uploaded to your My Health Record or provided to you as a handout
- If you are planning a trip overseas it is always a good idea to check the recommended immunisations for travel. The GPs can provide specific country related travel information and immunisation advice, as well as a medication certificate if travelling with prescription medications. We have the majority of vaccinations required for travel at the Practice, meaning you won’t need to go elsewhere for them.
